At our new farm, we are planning to grow mango saplings by grafting. Before beginning to grow mango saplings for soil fertility improvement and other benefits, we incorporated green manuring.

What exactly is green manure?
Green manure is a fast-growing crop that is cultivated and ploughed under to improve the physical structure and fertility of the soil. Green manure is a low-cost and effective way to keep soil fertility up. Green manure incorporation into a farming system can significantly reduce the need for additional products such as supplemental fertilisers and pesticides.

As a green manure crop, we cultivated jute. Jute root contains a high amount of carbon and nitrogen, which benefits the soil in a variety of ways.
